Just when we came to terms with the whole Brad Pitt-Chanel relationship, the luxury fashion house has added another boldface name to their ad lineup: Gisele Bündchen!
But there will be no rambling fragrance videos here. The 32-year-old Brazilian supermodel (and mother of two—hubs is quarterback Tom Brady) will be the face of Les Beiges, a new collection of sheer powders designed to impart a healthy glow:
Apparently they make skin look brighter, more refreshed and mostly importantly, natural—which is why Gisele was chosen to rep them. According to the press release, Chanel hearts her because she’s a nature lover who leads a healthy lifestyle, and “perfectly represents the values of this line: natural beauty, simplicity, freedom and a healthy glow.”
I don’t know about you, but I’ll have what she’s having. The five-shade range (they’re $60 a pop) is out March 18th.
Plus, you should know that this whole healthy-glowy-powder thing is becoming a bit of a trend. Hourglass has also just come out with a powder line: their Ambient Lighting Powders ($52 each; see here for more info or to purchase) are designed to soften and diffuse the way light reflects on your skin. The takeaway message: skin is really in.
